Dr. Phyllis W. Rogerson grew up in southwestern Virginia. She went to school in North Carolina, and then moved to the Charleston area in 1987 to begin her residency training at MUSC. She, her husband Robert, and their two children live in Mount Pleasant. Dr. Rogerson's parents and one sister also now have made their homes in the low country. She enjoys hiking with her family, bicycling, and quilting.
Dr. Rogerson joined Mt. Pleasant OB/GYN, PA in 1991 when it was still called Baker, Terry, Englehardt, PA. She has enjoyed the full time practice of both obstetrics and gynecology ever since. She likes the evolving nature of the specialty. "It has been great to add new treatments to offer to patients such as total laparoscopic hysterectomy for gyn patients, and 4-D ultrasound for OB patients and their families".
